I
write incessantly from Northern California. My career has spanned
field botanist, environmental health specialist, green energy
developer and resource recovery web site editor. I have had a large
number of technical, scientific and governmental publications; I am
quite new, to publishing my literary efforts. I
am now shifting, in my seventh decade, from technical scientific
works to literary publication, with 100+ poems, short stories and
sketches published in the past three years. Many of my poems and
stories reflect years in my 20s as a field botanist working for the
Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, studying the length of the
Grand Canyon of the Colorado under contract from the Park Service.
Writing crystalizes images from my life, recalling the memories of
and longing for the Canyon. In some ways, I’ve never completely
left.
