I was the firstborn to
James
and Flora Yarborough. John was my only sibling, born four
years
after me. Although I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1942, I
lived with my family in Jackson, Mississippi, until I went to college
in Oklahoma for one year. I returned to Jackson to finish college
before working and then attending graduate school in Virginia. I went
to Puerto Rico for six years, where I married a minister and
had two children. We moved to Georgia and then Florida where our
third child was born. My husband passed away three years ago, after
we had been married forty-three years. My three children have given
me eight grandchildren, three of which live in Texas, two in
Tennessee and three in Bradenton, Florida, where I live. Book
