I’m a college professor from the former USSR, who immigrated to the United States in 1990, after surviving four years as a political prisoner in a Colony of Strict Regime in Northern Russia. I was assigned to Arizona, where I taught the Theory of Literature and Roman languages for twenty-two years. In 2017, I retired from teaching to devote my time to writing. My essays and memoirs appeared in Forge Magazine, The Sea Letter, Bending Genres, Lit Mag, New Letters, Passager Book and elsewhere.
