How many times have you reinvented yourself? Started a new career? Or just a whole new lifestyle? I think we are never too old to start over. In fact I have made it a life habit of mine to always do this. If you want your life to improve, try new things. I’m always learning because that is the only way to grow. The past few years my life was starting to get a little stale and I was uncomfortable with being comfortable at the same job. I felt I was hitting a wall with no growth. So I started teaching yoga this year. I’ve been a yoga teacher for four years and I’m finally teaching now. Which is great because it makes work out now. I was not working out or really exercising much. So this is a great step up and change for me! It has also helped me get out of my shell and meet people. Like I mentioned when you want change then u have to be the change and do new things. I also am taking a Career Path course. It is amazing or a course that shows you so many different jobs and tells you about each job. There is also reading involved and the book is all about how to improve yourself and get better. This course is widely recognized by employers. This course also helps you to job shadow with jobs that you are interested in. Which is amazing because it is helping me realize different interests that I have. It is amazing how much we can change in just one or the years.

I used to be an actress and I stopped two years ago. I was tired of playing pretend. Also it is a lot of work auditioning and standing around on sets for hours. This is why I say you’re never too old to change your path. To keep learning and growing and expanding your horizons. I want a job that is more guaranteed. Where I do not have to audition every day for a role. So now that I’m doing this reinvention in retro it is like taking old clothes and re vamping them! Putting your best foot forward and really thinking outside of the box. I’ve even been taking a ten day ai class. I never thought I would do that. I do not like ai to be honest. I took it so that I could familiarize myself with it. In a world that keeps changing, I want to be up to date with changes. It’s like the David Bowie song- changes! Turn and face the change! I am putting my skills to the test! I also am a certified reiki master with various energy healing certifications. I was healing people at workshops and stopped last year. I became tired of healing people. It just became more draining than helpful.

In this chapter of my life I want fun and excitement. I really want to travel again. I used to travel so much when I was younger. I used to live in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. I want to go to new places and back to Disney! And from what I have learned in my Career Path Program, the best way to do that is to job shadow. So now I am job shadowing travel agents! It is a lot of fun. I must say that my life feels so much more exciting. Now that I am trying all of these new things it is bringing a sense of vigor in my step! My life is no longer boring. I feel sooner is happening daily and it is broadening my horizons. My life is completely changing. Who knows where I will be a week from now. I really like this. I feel when life gets so predictable we become stagnant. And that is what I was last year. A stagnant person doing routine things. Now each day is different. I’m taking new courses, learning new skills. Changing careers as I see fit. My whole life changed when I was accepted into the Career Path Program. It has given me a lot of wisdom and it’s broadening my horizons. I am meeting so many employers , that I would never have met if I did not take this course. I am leaving this story without a completion because I don’t have an answer yet and I’m good with that! My life is surprising and changing each day. That is all that really matters. I took the first few steps for change. Made a new resume and started applying for new jobs. And I’m so proud of that. I am proud of where I am today because it took a lot of courage and growth to get here.
