June Huwa Whiting is a retired behavioral health therapist who lives in northeastern Colorado. Although she left the farm long, long ago, she still prefers the eastern plains with their vast open spaces and sounds of silence to the admittedly impressive Rocky Mountains clogged with tourists, traffic, and McMansions. Incidentally, she never did call her father Harold the Horrible, at least not to his face.
