Heather has contributed writings to various journals, such as Alive Now, the Bible Advocate, and two Chicken Soup for the Soul books – ‘finding my faith’ and ‘Chicken Soup for the Latino Soul.’ Heather’s own poetry book is titled, "We ...a spirit seeking harmony for a world that's out of sync" and takes readers on a journey from tragedy to hope. Ms. Kirk has received a Vermont Studio Center Poetry Residency and an Arizona Commission on the Arts Professional Development Grant.
